Wine Packs

Low Intervention Dozen

We have been looking into the ‘fishbowl’ of these crazy labels and cloudy wines, thinking when was the best time to jump in and have a swim? The 2021 vintage was the year to reinvent ourselves. We decided to make three new wines under a funky new label. The label design was critically important. We employed street artist, Gabriel Cunnett, to create a label that captured our vineyards and the River Murray. The next step was to make some wines that challenged our comfort zone but still reflected great wine quality.

Our Low Intervention Dozen includes four bottles each of and Ash has this to say about them:

2021 Skin Contact White Blend - The grape varieties used in this wine are Zibibbo, Grenache Blanc and Vermentino. All harvested on the same day, these three grape varieties spend thirty days on skins before being bottled. This wine is not filtered, so it has a cloudy appearance. It is particularly fragrant and I enjoy drinking it with ice.

2021 Pet Nat - This style of wine has a reputation of gushing out of the bottle when opened. In some instances, half the volume of the bottle can overflow before even getting into the glass! This is caused by the secondary fermentation that occurs in the bottle, which creates bubbles and fun. Lucky our Pet Nat is perfect. When the crown seal is cracked, the wine fizzes slightly, which continues when poured into a glass. It is one of my favourite wines.

2021 Funky Red Blend - This is a crazy and unique blend of Tinta Barocca, Arinto and Alvarinho. I suspect there is no other wine like this in the world! It is made in a light stye that can be drunk chilled or with friends - Released 03/09/21
