2026 Pecorino
Harvested from our Cherry Shed Vineyard, located in Barmera, South Australia. Once derelict and broken down cherry orchard today it is home to a swag of Italian grape varieties, agave and chillies.
A rare grape variety in Australia, and in 2000 there was only 87 ha planted in Italy. Ricca Terra grows only 10 tonnes of Pecorino annually. The vineyard is hand pruned and harvested at 12.4 Baume in cool early morning temperatures. Fermented in old French oak barrels with some lees stirring to increase complexity and mouthful. This wine displays rich flavours and a oily mouthfeel.Â
