Arinto & Greco
Terra do Rio is a series of estate grown wines that are grown in regions that are influenced by river systems.
The Caravel vineyard in the Riverland has been dedicated to exploring Portuguese grape varieties. Our Arinto & Greco have been hand pruned, select harvested, are are grown on the banks of the Murray River.
Technical Stuff
Harvested from the Ricca Terra vineyard in late February 2025. The fruit flavours (pre-harvest) express fresh, zippy citrus characters (harvest Baume 12.6). Delivered to the winery via refrigerated truck. As the grape were picked via an infield de-stemmer, the fruit by-passed the crusher and was placed immediately in the press (this process reduced the potential pick up of bitter/stalky flavours). Fermented via natural yeast in stainless steel tanks, the final wine rested at 12.9% alc/vol. The Terra do Rio White Blend displays delicate nashi pear and lemon rind aromas with a refined and crisp palate.
